Grand Haven South Pier
This past weekend was beautiful. The sun was out and the temperatures weren't frigid (considering we're in the middle of December!) It's always funny because I travel so far to visit lighthouses, when one of the best ones in the state is right in my town and just five minutes from my apartment. I've always loved this lighthouse. It holds some amazing memories in my life. This lighthouse was built in 1839. There are two different lighthouses both on this same pier where the Grand River flows into Lake Michigan. This lighthouse/pier is also special because it's one of Michigan's five remaining catwalks. It's a beautiful walk at night!
I'm wearing a dress of Veronika's from a Delightful Dozen swap. It's her ModCloth namesake dress! I absolutely love it. I also love that Veronika has been on this pier with me too! This post just makes all kinds of sense right now. It's headed off to Elizabeth of Delightfully Tacky next. I'm excited to see how she styles it!
Well, I'm off! It's 12:15 in the morning, I didn't feel well or sleep well at all last night (ended up sleeping sitting up in our papasan chair) and I'm just busy and tired and ready for bed. Booooo. I'm excited for a long holiday weekend and time to just lay on a sofa and watch holiday movies. That just sounds lovely!
