Purple trees
Happy May! April showers sure have brought May flowers here in Michigan. Everything is in bloom, and I'm in love. Pink, purple, and white blooming trees everywhere. And the tulips! Ah, my heart. I'm so excited for these next couple of weeks, especially to head to Holland for the tulip festival. Speaking of the west side of Michigan, I'm partnering with local boutique, Hawthorne Collection to style up a few pieces today! Owned by two best friends, Stacy and Leslie, they call themselves the "curators of cute". Their boutique is full of adorable items! They have two storefronts, one in Hudsonville and a new one in Zeeland. If you're local, pop in sometime... and if not, you can head over to their online store to do a little shopping there! Lots of pretty florals, bright colors, and flowy pieces... perfect for spring and summer! I can't wait to wear this dress more, especially with a cute lace bandeau underneath, or a denim jacket over top. So many options!
Now that I've finally updated all of my wardrobe into my Stylebook app, I've been kind of realizing what I need... and what I have too much of. Purses? Not enough. Little black dresses? STOP BUYING! So it's been awesome to curate more. I just recently picked up a few 'essentials' of things I didn't currently own - like a black purse (what?!), and a nude purse. I was excited to add this bucket bag from Target to my collection. It was definitely needed. I also just picked up a new denim vest, some cute black espadrilles, and some new shades! But I'm kind of curious if I have too many clothes compared to others? Here's a breakdown... let me know if I'm maybe crazy? Or normal? Well I hope you have a great end to your week, and have a happy and fun Cinco de Mayo! I think we're headed out for tacos and margaritas at our local favorite restaurant. So I'll be sure to try and grab a few photos of the fun and festivities! Our neighborhood is super lively, because there are usually a few parties going on... and loud music blasting. I just wish it was on a Friday, and not a Thursday! I'm such an old granny when it comes to staying out late on a work night. And this upcoming weekend... we're off to Holland for TULIPS. Can't wait! I recently found out my grandparent's father's side all came from the Netherlands, so this lil' Dutch girl is going to celebrate! Now I just need some wooden shoes... ;)
