Spring florals

Happy almost Friday! We're so close to the weekend, guys. One more day. We can do it. Friday night, we don't have any plans, and those are sometimes my favorite nights to just go out to dinner, maybe see a movie, or grab a drink with friends. Saturday, I'm headed to Muskegon for a project I'm working on (can't wait to share), and then Sunday I'm planning on catching up on ALL the spring cleaning. I signed up for another Apartment Therapy list, and I'm pretty behind right now, so I have some major catching up to do! It's supposed to be perfect weather (60s and sunshine) and I can't wait to brunch, open the windows, clean, and get ready for another new week. We'll be onto the last week of April. Where did this month go?!

I signed up for another upcoming 5K today, and was a little bit nervous, because I haven't really been running since my 5K in March. So tonight (as soon as we finished taking these photos), I quickly changed into my workout gear to head out. I did 2.61 miles, pretty easily! So that makes me feel 1000x better knowing I'll be totally fine during the race. I was planning on doing the 10K, but somehow this last month has just gotten away from me. Not sure how... but there's a 10K in October I'm going to plan on training for. That'll give me the entire summer, and should be very doable if I set my mind to it! I really do love running, especially during. I just always dread working out in general. But while I'm running, I feel so accomplished, and that's my favorite feeling in the world, I think. Happy, sure. Accomplished, YAS. ;)

Floral midi dresses were a huge part of my "personal style discovery" when I was working through that section of The Curated Closet. I honestly haven't worn many midi dresses in my lifetime, and wasn't really sure if I loved them on me (because I'm pretty short, 5'3). But I think I like this dress! When I was putting it on, I kept wanting to tuck it up and belt it, but today, I was like... no, just try the midi dress, take photos, and see how you like it. And I think I like it. It's just going to take some getting used to, because I always wore shorter floral dresses in my early bloggin' days, which was also my early twenties. Crazy to think of how long I've been blogging, and honestly, kind of hard to accept change as I get older. But it's okay for my style to evolve! It's supposed to. It definitely just takes a little experimenting to figure out what works now, and not always rely on what worked then.
