Round Island Passage Light
After our bike ride adventure around Mackinac Island, we headed back to our bed and breakfast to freshen up and head out to dinner! We returned our bikes and walked down to watch the sunset by Biddle Point. Since you can't technically walk to the Round Island Passage Light (it's a shoal light), I've considered this one "checked off my list". I'm over halfway through seeing all of Michigan's lighthouses! My rule is... if you can travel there and set foot on the land the lighthouse is on, that's a must in order to check it off my list. If it's a shoal light, or on private land, and I can only see it by boat/plane, then I'll consider it checked off the list. I have so many more to go! It's taken me about 8 years to see 65 of them, so this will be going on for a while. And then maybe I can make it a goal to see all of the lighthouses on the Great Lakes! ;)
Biddle Point was an awesome spot to watch the sunset on Mackinac Island! I'd definitely recommend it. We shot photos before it got too dark, but the sky was super pretty and orange by the time we left. They had someone from Great Turtle Toys out there flying these insane kites! It was really fun to watch. After that, we headed over to Joann's Fudge to stock up on some peanut butter fudge (my absolute favorite) and some ice-cream. We enjoyed that before heading back to our bed and breakfast! Our room didn't have a TV, so we ended up watching "Somewhere in Time" on my iPhone. Hahaha, it was a super fun way to end the night!
I've been all about the wide-leg pants lately. I got this pair from H&M, a white pair also from H&M, and then I just bought a wide-leg pair of denim from Madewell that I'm obsessed with! I can't wait to wear those on the blog soon. I've been slowly picking up a few new pieces here and there. I got rid of SO much out of my closet (via Poshmark) and it's been awesome having a simpler wardrobe, but it also feels good to get some new pieces I know I'll love and wear over and over. I'm definitely in a bit of a Madewell craze right now (if you couldn't tell). I've obviously always loved them, but it's pretty much the only thing I feel like wearing anymore... haha! I'll try to branch out a little this fall, but we'll see. No promises. ;)
