Pumpkin patch
Is it too late to be posting on the pumpkin patch?!!! Nah. It’s still November. November is autumn to me, forever and always. Thanksgiving is also autumn to me, forever and always. I can’t get behind decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving, but I am 100% in support of whatever floats your boat — especially this year, lol. But anyway! While it was still October and while I was still in Grand Rapids, I headed over to the pumpkin patch at Heidi’s Farm Stand! I was a little late in the season, a lot of the pumpkins were looking pretty rough, but this patch is still cute as ever. I don’t know why I don’t come here every year… way more of an autumn vibe than picking up pumpkins at a farmers market! I loved it.
I busted out my beloved Free People teddy coat for this adventure! The sun was out, and it was a beautiful autumn day, but definitely chilly — especially with that breeze. This coat is seriously the warmest thing I own, it’s just a bummer it’s not waterproof, otherwise I’d be trekkin’ out in the snow in this thing. It’s from a few years ago, but I spotted a similar style on Gap’s website! It was good to get a little more use out of my closet while I was in GR! When I’m up in MQT, I pack a pretty small capsule wardrobe of about 40 things. Definitely more practical style too — parkas, hoodies, flannels, things I can mix and match easily. So yeah, getting to play around in my closet when I was home was a welcome treat. 😂
Well, that’s the last of my super autumn-y posts and the last of my posts from Grand Rapids (for now, of course!) Next up I move into all of my content from my second round in Marquette. More November vibes — less fall-y color, but more gray/blues/greens/etc. Definitely a “November” vibe up here… but I get to incorporate all the blues of Lake Superior, greens of the forests, tans/beiges of the sand/dunes, etc. I like to think of seasons in colors, you know? I don’t know. I’m rambling. Anyway! I’ll be back with more from MQT (!!!) and in the meantime, be sure to follow over on Instagram where I’m way way (way) more up-to-date.
