Grand River golden hour

Ahhh, two of my favorite things… golden hour and the Grand River. I’ve been spending so much time down by the water recently, because I’ve taken up running outside. So my loop is to hit the Blue Bridge and run along the path and I honestly forgot how much I love it down here. I went to college right downtown and lived a block away, but had to park across the river (because it was 10x cheaper, haha) so I’d ride my Razor scooter across the bridge whenever I’d have to get to and from my car. Plus, I’ve taken so many pictures for the blog down here. I just have so many memories along this river… it’s just good to be reminded of that every time I’m out running or getting a walk in. Brings me a little peace!

Did you guys have a good holiday weekend? I was a little nervous going into it, just because I had zero plans and had no idea what I was going to do with my time. But it ended up being really great, honestly. Hancock’s hot chicken tendies and mac and cheese, all the wine, movie night, Zoom hang with friends, getting outside to run, organizing my photos hard-drive, fun IG conversations, a delicious Easter dinner I made super last-minute of ham, cheesy potatoes and carrots, catching up on some laundry, listening to a lot of Eddie Money, watching lots of New Girl, haha. I don’t know. It was surprisingly good. I’m starting to realize I took a lot of the small things for granted before this quarantine, that’s for sure.

But yeah, I’m so excited we’re pretty much halfway through April. This month is honestly going by pretty quickly… so I can’t complain. I’m really focused in on my goals right now, so that’s helping to keep my mind busy! I’m running suuuuuper low on groceries though, haha. I’m eating the strangest things right now. For lunch today, I had a microwaved red potato with some crackers. Last night I was starving, so I ate a bunch of croutons. My wine supply is slowly diminishing. I have enough stuff to get me through Sunday, but then I will be bone dry, bahaha. So I’m going to have to brave a grocery store at the end of this week, ugh. But! I’ve been meal-planning two+ weeks at a time, so I can get everything that’ll get me through the end of April. 👍 Well that’s about all the exciting things I have to talk about today.
