Holland Peanut Store

Brett and I grabbed dinner in Holland, a town just south of us and stopped to their candy store for some photos. I love visiting Holland, especially in spring when all of their tulips are blooming. I can't wait to go back in a month to Windmill Island - it was everyone's favorite post from last spring! The Holland Sentinel even did a feature on my blog and I was on the front page of their lifestyle section, so I have to say I have a sweet spot for Holland. Get it? Sweet spot? At the candy shop? I know, I'm so clever.

Banana Republic sent me this cargo pocket vest from their spring 2011 collection, Journey in Style. They drew on the themes of travel, exploration and the classic American road trip for this collection and created a film - the first they've done! I received this piece, along with a drawing from Banana Republic's creative director, Simon Kneen, of his vision for this vest. I absolutely love seeing the thought behind a collection.

I didn't even think about how much this outfit resembled an outfit I styled during last fall's new york fashion week for the Chictopia Media Tech Summit. It's so similar though! I must gravitate toward olive green, black and tawny brown together. I am constantly wearing black and brown together. It's honestly my favorite color combination.

I'm so excited tomorrow is Friday! I need another weekend. This week has gone so slow for me! It feels like we went to St. Louis weeks ago! This upcoming weekend is supposed to be 60-70 degrees and thunderstorms so I can't wait to play in the rain for some outfit shots and possibly a video? ;)
