Vertigo Music
In Grand Rapids, we are so lucky to have an amazing record shop, Vertigo Music. Touring bands come through all the time and are always telling us how lucky we are to have such a great place to buy music. I have been going there since I was a kid and I'm proud to still be able to go! Next Saturday is Record Store Day and they are having a huge party with great deals. It's always packed inside and it's awesome to see how supportive our community is! I will be in Chicago attending the Modern Vintage Chicago fashion show, so I won't be able to attend, so I wanted to do my part by telling all of you in the area to go! Support your local record store!
I wore this casual outfit on Saturday. I headed out to Ann Arbor with a couple of friends to see a show at the Metal Frat. I went for Living with Lions and Castevet (love those bands). We grabbed some pizza, were able to pop into their Urban Outfitters and headed over to the show. It was super fun and I loved the venue - a fraternity house where they hold shows. It was pretty crazy though because there were other frat parties happening in the neighborhood and it's such a foreign environment to me!
We've had lovely weather all weekend long. Yesterday was in the high 50's and today was a major surprise in the high 70's! Of course, I brought my scooter out! It was perfection. I'm so excited that this is the start of warm weather. Michigan summers are truly the best thing ever. For every second I loathe living in a beach town in winter, as soon as summer hits, I take back everything bad I said or thought. It's a dream living just a few minutes from the beach, with scooters, and access to tons of ice-cream shops on the boardwalk. Ah, life is good.
