Palomita Reserve
It's official! Summer is over. It's so amazing to drive down the highway and see so much color. I feel like it all happens so fast! You blink your eyes and all of the trees are red, yellow and orange. It's so pretty. Naturally, I feel the need to fit in with my changing surroundings. I pushed all of my autumn clothes to the front of my closet and it's so fun to see how my closet looks so much like I'm driving down the highway! So many autumn colors. Aren't they the best, though?
The weather has been so mild and perfect for walking lately, so Brett and I headed over to the Palomita Reserve! It's a land conservancy that harbors natural communities that are native to West Michigan. "Palomita", which is Spanish for little dove is a perfect name for the land because historically this is a staging area for millions of doves. It's the perfect place to come and do a little bird watching!
When Brett and I stopped in Chicago on my way home from fashion week, he shopped at Reckless Records... while I hopped into Urban Outfitters. As soon as I spotted these pants, I picked them up. I absolutely love the color. Plus, they are so comfortable and I had a few compliments saying how 'classy' they looked. Double win! It's funny looking at the picture of them, because they are meant to be capris and I wear them as pants! I'm a shorty!
Everyone else super ready for the weekend? I am! Friday, my band is playing a house show which I'm really looking forward to! Saturday, we're headed to downtown Grand Rapids to explore ArtPrize and then off to Lansing later in the evening to see a band and interview an amazing girl for the blog (more details to come next week!) But before the weekend begins, I'll be posting on my autumn featured blogger tomorrow... so stay tuned!
