Bostwick Lake

On our last beautiful day of 70 degrees (I'm assuming our official indian summer), Eric and I headed up north and stopped by Bostwick Lake. There are so many lakes all over Michigan. Even in the city, it's just a short drive to a lake or even just 30 minutes from the big lake! I definitely miss seeing Lake Michigan more often, but there's just so much more to do here. You live by all of your friends, can quick go anywhere after work, or whatever. I'll definitely buy a house here when I'm ready, and just make sure my kids someday experience summers on the lake as often as I did growing up in a beach town.

I absolutely love the print on this top from Line & Dot! It feels so autumn to me. Our trees are pretty much bare here in Michigan now. We even saw some snowfall this week on Monday. It didn't stick, but I'm hoping we have snow for December. Can you guys believe Thanksgiving is already next week? I'm so looking forward to a four day weekend. I have three families to visit, a big IKEA trip, a Friendsgiving, lots of good shows coming up and a few Circle Maybe shows too. I'm looking forward to the next couple of months. Life is exciting right now!

So I've been trying to eat a bit healthier before the holidays and work out. Eric and I both got gym memberships and have been trying to hit the gym a few times a week. Oh man though, I'm out of shape. I used to easily be able to run a 5K and this week I had hit the red stop button at 0.93 miles. I couldn't even make a mile! I had the worst cramp in my stomach and my head felt like it was going to explode. Haha! I remember when I was working at losing my 35 pounds though, the first few weeks of working out was the worst. I'm compiling a huge new years resolutions list and getting back to my goal weight is definitely near the top.
