The Apple Haus
This past weekend, Eric and I took a quick trip out to Robinette's Apple Haus! I absolutely love this place, especially in autumn. They have the best apple cider. When the weather cooperates, you can also pick your own apples! We've had a huge shortage of apples this year due to an early thaw last spring. They also have a fun corn maze, bakery, fudge shop, tons of candy, ice-cream and other gifts to purchase. It's just a tradition to come here every autumn. Plus, this year, I had the perfect dress for the occasion! In Spring, this is also where the apple blossoms turn beautifully white and pink. What a wonderful place, right?
This weekend was pretty fun. On Friday night, my band played a really awesome show in Grand Rapids. It was a lot of fun, and I thought we played pretty well. Saturday was relaxing. Eric and I ran some errands. I met up with a few girlfriends at the dog park and we let our pups roam. Winny did great! She was pestered by a couple of dogs (older pups love Winny) but she was able to run and go nuts. It was super good for her. Afterwards, she required an intensive bath. I scrubbed that little girl, combed her, and brushed her little tiny baby teeth. I also used the blowdryer on her for the first time and I was dying laughing. Her fur was so so soft, but she was so poofy. It was like a little poof walking around the apartment! After that, Eric and I grabbed some dinner and saw Wreck It Ralph. So cute. The short before the movie killed me though. It was insanely beautiful.
It's definitely starting to feel more like winter than fall in Michigan though. There was a major layer of frost on the ground this morning and I'm freezing whenever I take Winny for a walk. I'm hoping November holds out on snow until after Thanksgiving, but then after the holiday, let it snow. I want a white Christmas this year! I remember I was posting last Christmas in the middle of a field that looked like autumn. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love autumn and last year was a nice little break. But there is nothing like a white Christmas! I really need to get a jump start on my holiday shopping. Eee! I'm so excited. Christmas music, the house is so cozy with a tree and decorations, ah. I'm looking forward to it.
