Winter Featured Blogger
For my winter featured blogger, I chose Kaylee of Kaylee Daily! I got to know Kaylee after she did a guest post on my blog this past summer. I loved working with her on it and she was the sweetest girl ever! I really enjoy her blog. She's so down-to-earth and I love her fun and colorful sense of style. I always look forward to reading her posts about her cute outfits and adventures with her husband and pups! Here are some questions to get to know her better. Be sure to head over and check out her adorable blog!
1. Can you tell us a little bit about your blog, Kaylee Daily?
Kaylee Daily is my creative outlet and hopefully a place of inspiration for others. I have always possessed a deep appreciation for fashion and I believe that creating innovative outfits that portray a person's unique personality is an art form. In addition to my daily ensembles, I also enjoy documenting my day-to-day life with Bobby, my better half. My blog is a place where I can put all of my joys on display, where I can celebrate life's little moments with loved ones and strangers alike. Kaylee Daily is one hundred percent me--love, laughter, and lots and lots of cute, new clothes.
2. When and why did you start blogging?
I started my blog in March of 2013. Kaylee Daily is practically a newborn in the blogosphere. I've always admired many fashion blogs, such as Selective Potential and Kendi Everyday, from a far but was a little nervous to start my own. With a little encouragement from family and friends and a closet full of clothes ready for their big debut, I finally took a leap of fashion faith and I've never looked back.
3. Explain your style in five words.
Whimsical, romantic, bold, brave, and chic.
4. What do you do for a living?
I am currently working part-time at Head Over Heels, a local shoe boutique in my hometown. Also, I recently started a second part-time job as an assistant to Haley Sheffield, an amazing photographer and dear friend. Both of my jobs make for a very fun work environment and I appreciate everything I am learning. At 25 years old, I am eager to soak up every experience available to me on my quest to find the job of my dreams, whatever it may be.
5. Favorite musicians/bands?
This could result in a very long list but, for your sake, I'll try and condense it. Grouplove is my most recent musical infatuation. Their music is so fun and energetic! With every song I fall more and more in love. A few of my other favorites include: Ellie Goulding, Mumford & Sons, One Republic, Katy Perry, and Lorde.
6. What is a typical weekend-day like for you and your husband, Bobby?
As much as I love going out with friends, my most favorite Saturdays are spent at home on the couch with Bobby. The truth is, nothing makes me melt quite like the words 'Let's stay home and cuddle' or 'New Girl is on. Grab the Nutella!' We are total homebodies and that is completely okay with me. Our three fur babies don't mind it either.
7. What's your favorite part about blogging?
That's easy! Creating fun, new outfits is by far the best part of blogging. I love finding a fresh way to style familiar clothes. Being able to display my creativity in that way is exactly why I do what I do.
8. Who is Beasley, Nina and Dolce? :)
Oh, the babies! These three little stinkers are practically princesses in our home. I hate to admit it but they have Bobby and I wrapped around their twelve tiny paws. Beasley is the smallest of the three but she also has the biggest personality. Don't tell the others but she is definitely my favorite. Dolce, however, is a daddy's girl. I know what you're thinking, 'What about Nina? Who loves her the most?' The answer is: everyone. Nina is the most lovable out of the three. She welcomes everyone into our home with lots of wet kisses and nonstop puppy cuddles.
9. Where is your favorite place to shop?
What an impossible question! There are so many incredible places to shop. I mean, if its out there, I find it. However, there are three places in particular that contribute to my wardrobe the most: Madewell, J. Crew, and Forever 21.
10. Any tips for bloggers just starting out?
Have fun! I have wasted a lot of time worrying about whether or not other people will like what I do. I am learning that my blog should be about what makes me happy. Not everyone will like what you have to say or in my case, what I want to wear, but the truth is that it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Confidence should come from within and whatever you decide to blog about, do it because it brings joy to your life. After all, happiness breeds happiness.
I hope you enjoyed getting to know Kaylee a little bit more. Be sure to head over to her blog and follow along! You can also follow her on Twitter and Instagram.
