Fort Myers & Sanibel | Day 1

As many of you know from my Instagram this past weekend, I headed out to The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel with one of my best friends, Laura! We were "Saved by the Shell". After both of us had horrendous weeks, we jetted off to paradise. I will be sharing all three days we were there... so this is day one! The majority of our day was spent traveling. We had a layover in Detroit, and landed in southwest Florida around dinner time. We had just enough time to check into our amazing hotel room (with two balconies and a spa!) at Pink Shell Resort & Spa. It was perfect. We jumped into our bathing suits, headed downstairs to the poolside bar, Bongo's, and had a quick meal of fried shrimp and fish. Afterwards, we ended up in the ocean... and it was like bath water! After that, we dove into the pool, drank many girly cocktails at the bar, and headed upstairs to finish a bottle of wine in the spa. Perfect first night... can't wait to share the rest of our weekend!
