East Nashville
During our long weekend in Nashville, we stayed in and explored East Nashville! I love this neighborhood! It was all new too, since we didn't get to see any of it last year when we were there. Our Airbnb was right across the street from the Holland House, The Pharmacy and Mas Tacos Por Favor. It was an ideal location, for sure. On our second day, we walked over to Barista Parlor for breakfast. I loved it. It was perfectly decorated, and the food was delicious. Eric and I got the lattes - vanilla bourbon and whiskey caramel, along with their biscuit sandwiches. Yummmm.
After breakfast, we ended up exploring the area slightly. We checked out a few local shops, and then grabbed tacos for lunch at Mas Tacos Por Favor. It was very good! Maybe not as good as our beloved Donkey Taqueria in Grand Rapids (sorry, Nash) but we still loved it. They were out of the pork tacos, which I think would have been my favorite... but we did end up trying their special of chips and cheese, with chorizo. I also had a chorizo and fish taco, along with a strawberry Jarrito!
After lunch, we ended up going to 3 Crow Bar for bushwackers - my very first! I really liked it too, which is dangerous. ;) Usually I cannot drink anything strong alcohol-wise, so I was surprised, but it's basically like a boozy milkshake. You can't go wrong with a boozy milkshake. Haha. We ended up checking out a local record store after that and staying to watch a band playing in the yard. One thing I love about "music city" is obviously the music everywhere. So fun!
Hope you guys are having a good start to your week! I'll be back with a few more posts from Nashville, and then onto the spring posts. It's finally blooming here in Michigan and I couldn't be more excited. Especially for tulips!
