Autumn in the park

This last week of October has been beautiful! It is definitely starting to get a bit chillier though. It finally feels cool enough to be able to wear sweaters, and scarves, where a few weeks ago, it was a little too warm to do that! So strange for Michigan, but I'm definitely not complaining. I just love that I haven't had to bust out my winter jacket yet! Eric and I quickly snapped a few pictures in the park while we were taking photos for a friend this week. We went to the Ada Covered Bridge, which is one of my favorite spots, and then over to Ada Township Park. The fall foliage is in full swing, and I'm obsessed!

Last night, Eric and I ran out to pick up a few more things for our costumes this weekend. I really have no idea how my leopard costume is going to turn out, but it's going to be so fun. We went to dinner, and then he headed off to a show and I stayed home and watched The Haunted Mansion. As I was watching it last night... I was like, why in the world do I watch this every year? I seriously love that movie and it's so ridiculously cheesy. I think it's just because I love Halloween movies that aren't scary, especially when I'm watching them home alone. Ha! I still have yet to watch Hocus Pocus, so I think I'll do that on Halloween as we're passing out candy to the trick-or-treaters.

I'm so ready to celebrate my favorite holiday this weekend... but I'm also just crazily looking forward to getting into a cozy routine in November. After we're back from Nashville, I just want to slow down a little bit. Cook more meals at home, spend less money on dining out, watch more movies, clean the apartment more, and just be more 'in the moment' myself. I need to take my own advice, that's for sure. The holidays are going to come and go so quickly, and I just want to enjoy every second! This time of year is just so good. I love the dropping temperatures, and the coziness of late autumn/winter. What are you looking forward to in November?
