Spring has sprung
Phew! I can’t believe I haven’t updated in almost 3 weeks. Totally unintentional. This month has flown by. We started April with blizzards… and snow that actually stuck on the ground. It was torture! I was like, I’m not blogging until it’s spring. I’m over this. So I worked on a few other projects I’ve been meaning to get done, which was good! I organized eight decades of photos into photo albums, which was a huge project on my list. I also brought up all of my spring/summer clothes from the basement, and took everything out of my current closet and dumped it ALL into the guest room. Day by day, I’ve been slowly photographing every piece for my Stylebook app and getting rid of things and organizing everything. I still have a while to go, but my goal is to be done with that project by the end of this month. I’ve been slowly listing clothes over at my closet shop too, so be sure to check that out!
Then all of a sudden last week Thursday, SPRING hit. Like, not even spring, but summer weather! Everyone went into a frenzy! Patio season quickly began, and honestly, everything bloomed overnight. We blinked and spring was here. So then I didn’t want to blog either… I wanted to sip margaritas on the patio and grill out and clean up the porch for summer and take Winny to the dog park. In short, that’s where I’ve been. First in a winter wonderland, then in a summer heaven. But now we’re slightly back to normal for Michigan… mid 60’s and very spring-like. And now that everything is bloom, I’m excited to get back to blogging. Plus, going through my wardrobe has really inspired me to start wearing more of what I own. The 30-item challenge I did last winter was awesome, but now it’s time to start utilizing MORE of my wardrobe. Otherwise, I just need to get rid of items because what’s the point of keeping things you don’t wear? So that’s kind of my challenge this summer. Wear everything in my closet, and if I don’t, BYE!
Otherwise, not much else is new! Work has been pretty busy. We just celebrated my Dad’s birthday, and our niece Lexi’s birthday last weekend. I can’t believe we’re in the last half of April though. May is always one of my favorite months ever (right up there with October) and so I’m just trying to get projects done this month, so I can spend next month having fun. Visiting the tulip fields, enjoying spring, riding bikes, going on picnics, having BBQs and get togethers with friends. Summer is looking so good this year though! Lots of travel plans and fun. I can’t wait. I hope you’re all doing great!
