Cherry Festival
Happy Monday, friends! I hope you had a great weekend! A few weeks ago, Eric and I traveled up to Traverse City for their annual Cherry Festival. It was perfect timing, because Eric ended up having a show there at Workshop Brewing, so we made a fun weekend out of it. We had such a great time! On this day, we woke up and decided to skip breakfast and go straight into lunch and head downtown. It was so packed, because of the parade happening, but we found parking and walked over to The Little Fleet (one of our favorites!)
The Little Fleet is a must-visit if you're in Traverse City, in my opinion. It's an adorable bar, with an outside patio FILLED with various food trucks. There is everything imaginable from ice-cream, to tacos, to more tacos, to vegan items, to truffle fries, and burgers, and smoothies, you name it. We decided to try a few things from each of the trucks, and everything was so tasty! Plus, we got brews and margaritas from the outdoor bar, found a table and enjoyed the atmosphere. It's amazing there. Definitely one of my favorite places to visit.
After lunch, we walked downtown to do a little bit of window shopping and we picked up a couple of new t-shirts from the M22 store. I got the Sleeping Bear Dunes tee in teal... so cute! We headed over to cherry festival, grabbed a couple of cherry colas, and walked around for a bit. I also had to ride a ride... The Orbiter, which is my favorite carnival ride. So much fun! Unfortunately, I have to ride them alone since Eric is a lil' scared. ;)
I decided to keep it casual (I know, I've been pretty casual in general this summer, ha!) but jeans, a breezy top and some red flats were calling my name for a day of walking around in the 80º heat! After exploring downtown, we met up with a couple of friends to do a little wine tasting outside the city, and then headed back downtown so Eric could load in for his show, which was pretty fun. I even got to see the fireworks from the venue, so that worked out perfectly! Such a fun weekend in Traverse City. Can't wait to go back!
