Lake Michigan Christmas
Hi friends! Did you have a good Christmas and New Year's Eve? I took a little time off from the blog to relax and spend time with family and friends. I was still working at my full-time job all week, but it was nice to have the evenings to watch Christmas movies at home and go out to dinner a few times! Now that it's January though, I'm ready to get back into a groove. I'm a firm believer in new year's resolutions. To me, it's the perfect time of year to reset and start over again.
Eric and I snapped these photos on Christmas, when we were in Muskegon visiting family. I always love the beach... in every season. Winter is no exception. The lighthouses were covered in snow and ice, and the blue of Lake Michigan is just so pretty against the white snow. I bundled up in this new cardigan from Lee & Birch, that I love! The neutral colors fit into my seasonal winter wardrobe perfectly, plus it's so thick and warm! Right now, they have 30% off everything with code "AFTERXMAS" so be sure to head over there and check it out. Plus, free shipping on orders over $50!
For new year's eve, Eric and I ended up staying home for the first time since we've been together! We bought tickets to a party, and our friends didn't get tickets in time, and the event sold out, so the whole night just didn't work out really, so we ended up selling our tickets. I also did not plan ahead, and we didn't have anything to eat at home, so we ate chips and queso leftovers, and cider with whiskeys. Not the most appetizing mix... haha! Next year, we already have plans, since Eric's band is already booked, so that's good. NYE is not my favorite holiday. For some reason, it's always sort of disappointing. I think it's because I put too much pressure on it to be amazing. Haha! But I do love the start of a new year.
