Anthropologie Holiday Fashion Show
A couple weekends ago, I got the amazing opportunity to walk in my first fashion show for Anthropologie! Every year, they host an annual Holiday Fashion Show with sips and sweets. It's such a fun evening to chat and mingle with local friends, do a little shopping, and enjoy a night out with some amazing fashion. I had a lot of fun trying out some totally unique looks that I might not have normally tried! I was surprised by two of my closest friends sitting in the front row, and I was totally an unprofessional dork just beaming down the runway. It was such a fun evening! One I was a little nervous for, but so glad I participated in, because it ended up being SO much fun. Thanks to Anthropologie for having me, and thanks to Jackie D Palmer Films for the amazing photos!
A few days before the show, I headed in for a fitting, and they paired me up with two amazing jumpsuits. I honestly don't think I've ever worn a jumpsuit before tonight... but then I ended up buying a velvet jumpsuit for my holiday work party. I'm jumpsuit obsessed now! They are so absolutely comfortable, and yet make a big fashion statement! The first look I wore down the runway was this Anthropologie Claudette Sequined Jumpsuit. It was the comfiest thing ever. It's jersey-lined, so think... pajamas, yet so cute and fancy for a night out. We paired it with a military style jacket and some strappy wedges.
It was so fun (and flattering!) to walk with some of my favorite local bloggers and photographers. If you're interested in reading some new blogs... these ladies are all so amazing. Be sure to check out Ashley of Sincerely Ashley, Kristin of Kristin Jones, Amy Carroll Photography, Danielle of A Social Soul, Lisa of LMP Collections, and Abby of Binks & the Bad Housewife. I included some of their looks in this post too, because I thought they all looked gorgeous! I was all about the "soft glam" line (which is the look my first sequin jumpsuit is from). Cozy sequins? Yes, please.
My second look was this amazing Ava Velvet Jumpsuit. This is definitely something I wouldn't have picked up on my own, but I loved wearing it! It was such a statement piece. As soon as I walked out on the runway, I got several hoots and hollers! Hahaha. Such a friendly audience, honestly. It was so laid-back and enjoyable! After the runway show wrapped up, I stuck around for a long time chatting with everyone and doing a little shopping. I ended up leaving with the coziest turtleneck cowl sweater and a new braided pillow for our couch. Thank you again Anthropologie for having me! This was such a fun evening!
