Weekend wardrobe
Onto a new month! I’m so excited for March. We have the first day of spring, and daylight saving begins! It truly starts to feel like spring is on the way when that arrives. That means I can start to switch over my wardrobe from bulky sweaters and winter boots to cute flats and cozy cardigans! For this outfit though, even with snow still on the ground, I couldn’t wait to bust out a few new things… including this adorable cross body bag from Radley. Obviously I gravitated toward this purse for the gorgeous cognac color (it goes with everything in my closet) but I also love the smaller size for when I don’t need to carry as much to work. It’s perfect for my weekend wardrobe!
Last weekend, Eric and I stayed in on Friday night! We ordered a pizza, watched the mid-season finale of Nashville, and I went to sleep early. I woke up on Saturday morning for an early FLEX class (which kicked my butt) and then headed home. Eric and I headed out for brunch at Wolfgang’s (one of our favorites) and to the grocery store to pick up groceries for the week. This Lambeth Mews cross body bag was perfect for our trip… especially at the checkout lane. I love the magnetic flapover front. Super easy access to my wallet and essentials, and it was right at my hip! I didn’t need to carry it on my arm during our trip.
I’m trying to enjoy the slow pace of our life right now, because our summer is already looking so busy with plans! But I’ve been craving warm weather and a busier schedule! So I’m definitely looking forward to a new season. We have a lot of fun trips planned for the summer already because of Eric’s band schedule – several weekends in Traverse City, trips (yes, trips!) to Mackinac Island, and several nights out on the lakeshore in Muskegon. Plus, we’re headed to Phoenix, Arizona on a family trip in September… so that’ll be fun! Do you have any fun plans coming up that you’re looking forward to?
In the meantime though, I just need to enjoy where we’re at and be in the present moment. That means enjoying March fully, saying goodbye to these final winter days, and enjoying a few of our favorite winter meals a last time. I just need to remember the things I love about winter, and this transitional month, and hang tight. Spring is so close, and will be here before we know it! Plus, the most brutal months of winter are behind us… and those 50 degree days I see in the forecast look pretty darn exciting!
