Rose Gold + Teddy
Hi friends! I took a little blog break over the holidays, which was so nice and needed! We celebrated Christmas with our families and rung in the new year with friends by renting a cottage together for the weekend. But now I’m ready to dive into the new year! 2018 was a wonderful year though — definitely with more ups than downs. I know not every year is bound to be like that one, but I’m so grateful I worked hard to make things happen! The ups were… losing 30 pounds and continuing my WW and FLEX routine, and officially becoming debt-free, which was a huge part of our year. We also took several amazing trips around Michigan, a trip to Phoenix, and I’m so thankful for my many memories with Eric, and my best girlfriends. The major down this year was the house fire, but we got through it and we’re back home safe and sound with no major damage done. I have some big goals for 2019… but it all starts with kicking off the month right and working hard day to day!
Like I’ve mentioned here before, I’m going to try and incorporate a little bit of new content into the blog this year! Things I’m interested in, of course, but it definitely sounds like most of you are interested too. Things like fitness, budgeting, organizing, lifestyle, hitting goals, etc. I feel like a huge chunk of my blog audience sort of “grew up” with me since I started this blog almost 10 years ago, so it makes sense that interests change! I absolutely love my blog, and I’ll always love fashion, but not in the way I did when I was 23, that’s for sure. I care more now about keeping it simple, casual, and always feeling good in what I’m wearing vs. always trying to showcase the newest trend. So I’ll continue on with my casual outfits, but I’m going to try and see where the year takes me! But definitely expect to see more of my personal style, travels, and other things I’m interested in — our debt-free journey, where we’re headed next, my diet/fitness goals, maybe a few of our favorite healthy recipes I constantly have on rotation? If you have anything specific you want to hear, let me know in the comments!
