Thrifted oversized blazer
Hi friends! Happy November. It’s been a minute since I popped in here! I feel like the end of October just flew… but I’m nicely settling into the slow vibes of November. I’m definitely here for the calm before the storm of the holidays, that’s for sure! So I wore this outfit out to a dinner at Maru. What do you guys think about oversized blazers? I found this one at our local Salvation Army and I love it, but it’s also slightly ridiculous. I think maybe the shoulder pads need to go. 😂 But not sure. We’ll see. But yeah, it was nice to check out Maru — I hadn’t been before! You can see my IG post here for a little peek at their fall features menu. So good!
The leaves are slowly leaving the trees now, but dang we had a pretty autumn! I just wish it would last longer — at least through November to Thanksgiving. We currently have snow… sticking… on the ground. 😒 And it’s like 20 degrees today. Way too cold for November! I’m going to try and go into winter with a positive mindset though. Usually I love winter through Christmas and even partly into January, but when the end of February/March hits… I’m like… about to lose my shit, hahaha. So one of my goals for 2020 is to take an overnight trip every month. So that gives me something to look forward to in every season. Like… lighthouses still exist in winter, Tieka. 🤣 But I want to try and see more of the beauty of winter this year.
Otherwise, not much else is new! I’m heading on a blog trip to Bloomington, Indiana this weekend! I’ve never been before, and I’m excited to explore a new town. If you’re from the area, do you have any tips/recommendations? We received a scavenger hunt to go through with lots of amazing recommendations, but I always love hearing suggestions! Hoping the weather is good. I think it’s supposed to be high 40s, low 50s, which I’m totally fine with. So yeah… a short week next week. Another short week coming soon with Thanksgiving.
