Another weekend in lockdown
Well, another weekend in the books! This one really sucked, and then it was okay, and then it kind of sucked again. Hahaha, I think maybe that’s just the new normal in this process. My emotions are just all over the place. But I’m surviving! But yeah, this weekend… I started (and finished) Tiger King. WTF. Went for a run along the Grand River. Got takeout from Donkey, which was so good. You really appreciate a meal out once you don’t really dine out anymore, that’s for sure! Drank a marg + lots of wine. Watched 3 different movies. Got UberEats breakfast… was weirdly craving a chocolate chip pancake, lol. Took Winny for a walk. Got groceries, but ended up shattering two bottles of wine that fell through a plastic bag and ruined (these) sneakers… don’t worry, I already ordered a new pair. 🤣 But yeah, that was my weekend. Exciting stuff over here, y’all!
I just got this top from Madewell and it’s so cute, but I’m sort of wishing I had sized down. I got the 8 and it’s just a little too big/loose and ends up showing my bra a lot, which obviously I don’t want, haha. But yeah, it’s pretty low in stock now. Ah well! I haven’t really been doing any shopping… even with their very rare 40% off sale. I did get a new bathing suit top, just because it was so cheap and I already have bottoms to wear with it… and I ended up getting some perfume since it was on sale! I love their Sedona scent. I’ve worn Ralph my entire life, but they discontinued it… so I still have a full bottle left, but I want to experiment with some other scents too. I typically love the more citrus-y, floral-y scents and this one fits that description with a little touch of honey!
Well that’s about it! This week’s weather looks a little more tolerable, so hopefully I can get out for more runs. Work is steady right now, so I’m very thankful for my job and that I can work from home. I have groceries to last me through the end of the month now, so my days will pretty much look the same for the next couple of weeks. Not sure what the end of April will bring in terms of lockdown in Michigan, but we’ll see. I’ll be excited for May though… everything in bloom, hopefully more thunderstorms, another month closer to summer weather, and hopefully… freedom! 😂 Hope you guys had a good weekend! Hang in there!
