High Voltage
Happy Friday before a long holiday weekend! Even though life is weird and strange, I’m still excited (as I’ll always be) for a long holiday weekend. And Memorial Day to me always means the ‘unofficial start of summer’ and I’m just here for it. I’m excited; I’m ready. This entire week flew… as did this entire month to be honest! But yeah, not much is new! Life is good! Normal, pretty stable right now, not a lot of emotional highs and lows like I was experiencing at the beginning of this, so that’s great. I’m actually just really enjoying this season of life right now. This weather, my routine, working on myself, starting to be able to be around friends (even if social distancing), slowing down, making plans, I don’t know. It’s just good right now. Things are good. 🤷♀️
The weather lately has been… perfect. I absolutely love 70-degree weather, moody vibes, golden hour, and we’ve had some really good ones lately. Spring is just such an awesome season for vibes. And I love being able to take walks and get out for runs and feel warm, and wear what I want, yet I can still layer up a little bit without roasting my butt off. Because pretty soon in Michigan it’ll be like 90-degrees, I actually think we’re supposed to get into the upper 80s already this weekend. We only get a few weeks of this perfect 70-degree weather, that’s for sure! But yeah, this outfit is pretty typical me! Still obsessed with these sneakers, and wear them all the time. Loving my ripped denim as always. I got this AC/DC tee last winter, and wear it often. But yeah, a little bit more of an edgy vibe today!
Do you have any plans for the long weekend? I had a half vacation day today! So I made myself lunch, and headed out for a run. I decided to try and do a longer loop today, and I loved it. I ran 4.97 miles, and honestly could have kept going. I was having a lot of fun today. I just feel really good when running right now… like, on a high. I’m legit waving or smiling to everyone I pass, sometimes rocking out to a song on air guitar (lolll I must look insane) or I just have a huge smile plastered on my face. It’s ridiculous, but I don’t even care. Taking that time to be happy if I feel it! But otherwise… this weekend looks fun and relaxing! Tonight I’m going to cook dinner, probably watch an Adam Sandler movie that just came on Netflix. I have a local-band virtual live event to watch, takeout to eat, wine to drink, foods to grill, books to read, and I have friends throwing a social distancing pool party… so I’m really excited to see some of my favorite people and get some sunshine! ☀️ Hope you guys have a good weekend!
