Outside Commune

Hiiii there! Happy Friday (for me)! So what’s new since I last updated? Oooh, I turned 34! That was just a crazy week, I still feel like I’m trying to get back into a routine/rhythm since then. Just every night was something new… eating my annual Olive Garden birthday dinner lol, drinks on Wealthy with the girls, taking photos for a friend, or heading out to Muskegon to see my parents and have a beach day/eat delicious pizza. By Sunday, I literally just stayed in bed all day, watched Mystic Pizza + Mr. Deeds lolllll and now it’s already Thursday of the next week and I’m just like where is time goinggggg. This month is already flying too fast! I have a lot going on right now though; so I’m just trying to stick to the things that make me feel good + productive (running, cooking at home, taking time to journal, sleep/rest and hydrate). But yeah, it’s going to be a wild ride for the next couple of months.

So yeah, I’m 34 now! I love my thirties lol. They are strange and weird, but yet so fun. I’ve really gotten to know myself super duper well. My self-worth is so much different now than in my twenties. I’m just confident with where I am, taking it a day-at-a-time instead of forever living in the past or the future like I used to, I don’t know. It’s just a weird/good place to be. Granted, this year is weird too though. And all you can do is just live in the present moment and do what you can with what you’ve got, but yeah, it’s been interesting that’s for sure! But I’m having so much fun, I can’t lie. I went and added a little more blonde to my ombré the day before my birthday, and then stopped to snap these pictures in Eastown. I love this wall! It’s so cute, it’s right outside Commune if you’re interested!

So this upcoming weekend, I’m heading up to MQT (Marquette, Michigan) with the girls… well 4 of us, at least! I’m so excited. It’s going to be such a fun summer preview weekend. We’re going to cliff-jump off Black Rocks, hit up a fun wine bar, probably a few breweries, get some grub from food trucks, try to see some shooting stars/comets at Presque Isle, hike up to Sugarloaf Mountain, check out the Marquette Harbor Lighthouse, explore downtown, be outside as much as possible, take in the fresh air and Lake Superior and do all the things.
