Hazy rooftop
Hiiiiiii! So much is happening right now. I need time to slow down for a second. So I have a couple of posts to catch up on before I move into my MQT posts, which is where I’m currently writing this post from! I took a weekend trip to Bellaire and Alpena with Pure Michigan, so that’s a two-part series coming up next… and then I’m going FULL upper peninsula for a while!!! I’m so excited. So many adventures and photos to be taken up here!! But! Last week when I was still in Grand Rapids, I got a little dressed up to head out for drinks and nachos with one of my favorite humans! I picked up this top from Target without even trying it on, because I was like so cute!! Anyway, hi there, welcome to my scattered brain for a minute here, hahaha.
So yeah, this transitional summer-to-fall weather has been amazing. It was pretty warm in Grand Rapids before I left, and then now that I’m in MQT, the weather has been so beautiful. It’s supposed to start dropping pretty quickly next week though, so yeah, all the cute summer-y outfits until then! But yeah, I love this top! It’s such a fun statement piece… and it’s only $20. I love spending money on quality items I know I’ll wear over and over and over but H&M and Target are perfect places for some statement pieces you don’t want to spend a lot of money on that you won’t wear on the daily. This top is definitely a crop top too, but thankfully it doesn’t show a lot of belly when you’re just being normal and sitting down having a drink and a meal. Prancing around a parking garage rooftop is another story, hahaha.
So yeah I have so many things new going on, so I’m excited to catch up. I need to get better at blogging here more in the moment and keeping up on my IG feed. Sometimes it’s a lot of pressure, and I don’t even know why! Stories are so easy, no pressure! I can keep up on those every day, no problem. I think I just have this perfectionism mentality when it comes to this space and my IG feed, which is so silly. So many of my most-liked photos on IG are all random iPhone snaps, hahaha. It is what it is. But yeah, this entire week leading up to my month in the upper peninsula was… getting organized/packed, cleaning, spending as much time with my favorite people as I could before I left, and making a giant list of things I want to do up here in Marquette. On this night, I grabbed frozen bevvies and pulled pork nachos with my friend, Monika, and we saw a friend play an acoustic set on an outdoor patio. Soaking up these patio nights for as long as I can this year! Okay… I’ll be back my northern Michigan road trip. And then it’ll be U.P. for dayyyyys!
