John B. Anderton Trail
Hi, hi! Happy new year. Wait, is it already almost halfway through January? I have no concept of time anymore, haha. My outfit posts tend up being more personal, while my travel posts tend to be focused on travel. So I haven’t really given a life update in a second here, have I?! So I’m back up in Marquette for Round 4. I’ll also be here for Round 5 + 6. To think about having lived in the UP for 6 months is just… very special to me. I’ve always wanted to live here. Always. Just thought it’d be when I was retired someday. And here I am, 34, living in the UP. What is this life? I’m so grateful. Anyway, hi. Here’s an outfit… on the John B. Anderton Trail… in Presque Isle Park… in Marquette… in the UP.
My routine here in Marquette is just so different than my routine in Grand Rapids. I wish somehow I could capture how I live my life here… and translate it there, but it’s just different. I just have such an amazing routine here of… getting outside every single day, appreciating the beauty around me, filling my energy bucket with Lake Superior and the views, I don’t know. I just don’t have anything like that in GR… at least while the world is shut down. Before it was… nightlife in a way? Going to see a favorite band, grabbing dinner downtown, getting drinks out with friends, going to a movie. Life is just so strangely different that I can’t really imagine being anywhere else except for the UP while the world is in the state it’s in. So I’m thankful I don’t have to be, at least for now.
Anyway, this turned deep when this was supposed to be a normal everyday ol’ outfit post, right?! But this park is just incredibly special to me. Honestly Marquette in itself is just incredibly special to me. Scratch that, the UP is just incredibly special to me. Why am I so pulled here??? I’ll never be able to explain it. I never knew a place could fill me up as much as it does. Anywayyyyyyyy, I think this is maybe where I sign off. Outfit details linked below… as best as I could, lots of repeat wears and out-of-stock items but I linked some similar things. Anything else??? I don’t know. Grateful for you all for continuing to read + support this unique life I’m living UP here. Couldn’t be any other way at this point.
