Yellow Dog River Bridge
One of my most toxic traits as a blogger is that… anytime I drive anywhere, I am constantly like “Ooh! That’d be a great photo spot!” Hahaha. I can’t take a drive without doing that. 😂 But on my drive out to Big Bay, I spotted this little bridge over the Yellow Dog River… and I wrote down a note to head back for photos! Again, I’m just in love with this time of year. The pre-autumn vibes, the cooler air, warm breeze, trees slowly changing and turning colorful, the ability to wear boots and sweaters. Oof. Fall has my heart. 🍂 (And so do these new Doc Martens I’m obsessing over.) I just want the vibes of this time of year to last fooorreeevvveerrr.
So yeah, I’ve been trying to get a few more personal style posts in and take a small break on travel/adventures, but now that peak autumn is quickly approaching, I’ll be getting out for more fall things to do in the UP soon! I took a day trip out to the Keweenaw last weekend… and it was such an epic last day of my first year here in the UP. I’ll blog about it very soon! But yeah, I have some small weeknight autumn things to tick off… and I want to get out more west for some autumn color excursions. Ironwood, Ontonagon, Copper Harbor, I just have so many dreams. Not sure I’ll hit them all, but I’m just excited that it’s so far off from me running out of things to do in the UP. 👌🏻
I’ve been living in these Madewell Perfect Vintage Jeans… these are the Lunar Wash. I also just ordered them in a lighter wash too. I love these jeans. But yeah, I linked the sweater from H&M, but I think it’s out of stock… but they have similar options on their website. And I just bought these Doc Martens which I’m loving! They def require some breaking in, and I had to return/size down, but I’m excited for tromping around all autumn in these. What else is new? Hmm, my dad & step-mom are coming to visit this weekend, so that’s fun! I’m excited to show them around Marquette. Other than that, I just have fall on the brain. Burning my pumpkin spice candle, drinking spiced red wine, fall travel, weekend plans, spooky movies, etc. Favorite time of year BY FAR! 🍂
