By the Ore Dock
Hiiiii there. Is this week… over yet? I’m so ready for the long holiday weekend. But anyway, popping in with just a quick outfit post at an iconic scene here in Marquette. I love taking photos at the Lower Harbor Ore Dock. I haven’t been blogging much personal style lately, wondering if I should get back into it or not, or just focus more on travel content, especially in the Upper Peninsula, but eh, here we are! I think this part of the blog will always exist honestly. But it is tricky… blogging outfits, when most of what I wear is from 5 years ago. My closet is pretty well established now and I’m not necessarily crazy on the latest fashion trends. Madewell circa 2018 is where it’s at. Wrap tops and mom jeans everyday, please. 😆
Summer is trucking along already though. I have some travel plans coming up, so I’ll be blogging lots more. Focusing on a couple of different areas in the Upper Peninsula, some new-to-me places, and some northern/west Michigan content as well. I’m mostly just trying to stay busy right now, dealing with some heartache and a pit in my stomach, but that’s just life and I know it will get better soon. Are you ever in a phase of your life where you’re like… can I enter the next phase? I don’t know. Moving to Marquette was one of the best things I ever did and it immediately felt safe and like home and I’m just ready for the next feeling like that to come along, if that makes any sort of sense at all. Anyway, rambling inner thoughts. Life is good. I’m grateful. Summer is here.
Otherwise, what else is new? I’ve been focusing on eating healthier/getting outside to run and bike. I love riding my bike along the lakeshore trail! I’ve been playing a lot of Cooking Dash. I don’t even want to know the amount of money I’ve spent on that game. I recently bought a cute new bathing suit from Aerie. Any days that feel like summer, I sign off work and bike straight to the beach. I need to… find a new good show to watch. Any recommendations? I already miss This Is Us and am contemplating starting it over. I’m excited for upcoming plans with friends, adventures, waterfalls, lighthouses, the usual. I want to try and post more on TikTok, since my content seems to be doing better there than Instagram these days. Anyway. Hi, bye. I’ll be back soon. 🥴
