Chicago blogger meetup
This weekend has been such a lovely one! Friday night, Andrea came into town to stay the night so we could get an early start on Saturday to Chicago! Brett has been recording with Tall Ships all weekend and housesitting for his parents, so Andrea and I had a sleepover! I love how we're 23-24 years old and still have sleepovers. Haha! I love that girl. Saturday, we got ready and headed out to the windy city! It was gorgeous outside. 73 degrees, warm breeze. Ugh, my favorite kind of weather!
We parked and ended up walking the entire time! It was lovely! We shopped at Urban Outfitters first, I can never leave that store without buying something. I always find such great deals. I can't resist! I got some sandals for summer for $20, some darling high-waisted shorts that I see myself living in come hot summer days and some $10 sunglasses. Can't beat that! We also browsed Zara, H&M and Forever 21. I have a hard time shopping at the Forever 21 on Michigan avenue in Chicago because it's so huge! I need to just spend a couple of hours there by myself in order to actually accomplish something!
We went into the mall where Macy's is - and I had never been in there before! It was amazing! We stopped and rested - I ate an apple- trying to be good this week on my diet. I have 7 pounds to lose before graduation. Eep! Andrea even went into the Levi's store to pick up some shorts because we were honestly sweaty - it was so warm! The breeze was so perfect though. I love the windy city come warm wind. We sat on the steps on a side street for a bit enjoying the weather and relaxing. I loved our trip - Andrea and I have done so many wonderful things so far thanks to our blogs and fashion. She took every lovely picture here (thanks, as always, girl!) So all photo credits go to Andrea!
We met up with some amazing ladies for a blogger meetup! Gina put it all together and it was perfect. We met at Quartino - a super delicious Italian restaurant which I had never been to before! I love how every time I come to Chicago I get to experience a new restaurant or part of the city. It's always different and exciting! All of the bloggers were amazing and so kind and it was wonderful to get to know some new women! Andrea and I had such a wonderful time - our day trip couldn't have been a better day!
