Fall color tour

This weekend, Brett and I took a little drive up north on a back road along Lake Michigan. We ended up at the White River Light Station in Montague. We saw a few signs for it and it's kind of hidden back on a dead-end street. It was really pretty up there! I love all of the colors changing. The colors still aren't at their "peak" though and a lot of the trees along the lake are still really green. We walked along the pier for a little bit and got back in our car to head back out on the road!

When autumn comes, I always think about heading out to the back country roads for pumpkin patches and apple orchards and always forget how pretty the colors are right on the beach! I absolutely love driving along the highways and seeing all of the orange, yellow and red trees. Brett is so fun to go on little adventures with. I mean, a Sunday drive to a lighthouse and to look at autumn colors? I love doing stuff like that and so does Brett! He's amazing! And adorable! Phew, I'm lucky.

I've been having a lot more fun with outfits lately because I'm able to layer again! It's so much easier to be creative when you're not sweltering in the heat. I've been trying to rework the back of my closet into the front again, so a lot of this outfit is remixed! I've worn the dress, jacket, scarf and tights before! I love the color of these boots - they are going to go with so much in my closet for fall. I'm just not looking forward to winter.. eep!
