The Grand River
Michigan pretty much just skipped over spring and went straight to summer this past week! It's been so refreshing. I came home from Texas to amazing warmth! I still have two more posts to do on the Texas Style Council Conference, but I thought I'd take a break to showcase a pretty spring dress. I felt so silly walking outside in this dress in March, but it's honestly been that warm. 75 degrees and higher! I'm in love.
This weekend, Brett and I went and saw Jim Gaffigan - he was so funny! We scooted a lot. We finished recarpeting and painting my new studio, which I'm currently sitting in. It's perfect. A little teeny, but I love it. I'll take pictures soon. Today, we got our taxes done, took a little walk downtown and grabbed ice-cream with our friends. I'm loving living back in the city. (Even if I did miss the beach a little bit these past few warm days!)
I absolutely love the Grand River that runs through Grand Rapids. It's so pretty at night when all of the bridges are lit up. I used to love scooting across the bridges when I lived here in college. I know it's silly, but I grew up being by water constantly. Brett and I both grew up in beach towns... so it's a little sad being in the city and not being able to drive five minutes to the lake. So it's nice having the river... that flows all the way to our beach town and out into Lake Michigan.
