Collins Park

Ah, the first bare legs of the season! How exciting! I always get them out just a few weeks too soon, but oh well. I'd rather brave a few goosebumps than wear another pair of tights. I'm so over tights. I have so many dresses where I keep thinking how much better they'd look with bare legs... this dress included. This weekend, Eric and I took a walk down to Reeds Lake, in Collins Park. It was crazy windy, but at least it finally felt like spring. Can you guys believe I snapped a photo in an insane 20-minute blizzard today? Thank goodness it didn't stick!

We didn't do a ton this weekend, actually. Friday, we went and saw Admission. It was pretty good! Saturday, I made a little dent in my checking at a few stores. I bought this jean jacket (that I love) and some black ankle boots for $15 from Old Navy! I have the tan version of them and I love them so much, so I decided to go and see if they still had the black ones in stock. They had one pair left in my exact size on clearance. Meant to be! I snatched them up right away. They are the most comfortable pair of shoes, and they go with everything.

This week is going to be fun. I'm looking forward to it! It's going to be a great bonding week with co-workers too. A few of us are going to see Girl Rising on Tuesday, and Wednesday we are heading to a graphic design exhibit at the art museum along with a yummy Thai lunch. Thursday, my work is having a 35th anniversary party for family, friends and clients. What a celebration - 35 years! I'm thrilled to be part of such an amazing company, in a career that I love. Other than that, I need to do Zumba classes at least twice this week and continue on my spring cleaning!
