Overflowing river
Well I wasn't kidding last week when I said we were getting rain! Grand Rapids has been lining the bridges with sandbags, parking trains on the railroad tracks that cross the river (to keep them down) and closing many of the bridges along the Grand River. Every time we drive by it, I'm totally gawking at how high the water level is. It's so crazy. Last year we were in a drought, and this year we have this! Eric and I went down to Sixth Street Park today to check out the river. So many people were out doing the same exact thing. So so nuts.
This past weekend was a good one. Eric played with a country band for both Friday and Saturday nights. Our parents came out, along with a bunch of friends. We were both super tired though from staying out so late, so we mostly napped on Saturday. Today, we did the usual grocery shopping, brunchin' and we always have "date" nights with renting a movie, popping some popcorn and enjoying our Sunday nights on the couch! This week's choice was Cast Away, haha! Eric has been on a Tom Hanks roll.
