Guest Post: Hole In The Rock

Hello fans of Tieka! I can't even describe how ecstatic I am to be posting here today. Like I'm sure a lot of you have, I've been loyally following this beauty and her oh-so-inspiring blog for years now! She's one of the main inspirations that led me to starting a blog of my own. Being featured is a not only incredible, but a dream come true! So a HUGE thanks to Tieka for giving me this opportunity!

Oh, I'm Jessi by the way! I'm the girl behind (or I guess front and center of) Haircut & General Attitude. Me in a nutshell? 20-something. Married and deeply in love. Adventurous. Fashion craving. I dig vintage, funny movies and depressing music. Oh, and the ocean. Sometimes I hate being landlocked, but I live in such a beautiful state. I'm lucky to call Utah home. This place is chock-full of natural beauty! I took these photos in Moab, where red rock, arches and beautiful scenery abide.

This day was perfect for hiking and exploring Arches National Park, where the largest natural arches in the world exist beautifully carved out of the red rock. There are over 2,000 arches here! After we had our fill of the arches, balanced rocks and "sandstone towers" (or rather the heat), we headed to lunch. Afterwards we visited "Hole In The Rock", which I think is one of the neatest attractions in Moab! It's a 5,000 square foot home carved into the side of the rock. It was built in the 1950s. It's basically a huge cave with a fireplace & 65 ft. chimney, 14 rooms and even a bathtub built into the rock! They don't allow photography on the inside but you can view photos on the website here.

I just love the way this dress looked against the red rock! I've been kind of waiting until fall to wear it but I couldn't resist breaking it out for this! Did I mention it's vintage? Swoon... Well, I hope you enjoyed my little tour of Moab and thanks again for letting me share Tieka! Hope you have a wonderful time on your trip and take lots of gorgeous photos! Have a great Saturday everyone! Check out Jessi's other outfit post from this trip at her blog!
