Changing colors

Hello, Sunday! I'm sneaking in a post early this week because I have a full week planned and I'm trying to get ahead. I have a few "spooky" posts planned, a giveaway, a recap of Halloween and I need to get November started right away. It's going to be a busy next couple of months! I'm loving autumn though and enjoying every second. November always surprises us though with pretty decent weather and the fall colors are really sticking around this year! Usually by Halloween the trees are wiped clean, but we still have a ton of color left!

Yesterday, we headed out to Holland, Michigan to grab breakfast and to style some outfits at Frances Jaye for an upcoming collaboration I'm doing with them! There will be more details soon, but it'll be full of holiday-style inspiration! I'm excited. I was like a kid in a candy shop styling up outfits there. I can't wait to share. Afterwards, we explored a haunted cemetery, grabbed apple harvest donuts at the farm and checked out ideas for Halloween costumes at a local pop-up store. After that, we watched the Katy Perry documentary (now I'm obsessed with her new album) and grabbed dinner at The Winchester. Perfect Saturday!

Today I'm getting caught up on stuff around the apartment, bill paying, grocery shopping, queuing up posts, and getting my office put away finally. We moved here in July! Ah! I should be done by now, but it just hasn't happened yet. Slowly but surely. I always feel better about the upcoming week when I work a little bit harder and get organized on Sunday. This week we have a lot planned too, and Halloween is this week! I'm so excited! I think we might stay home, eat pizza, watch a scary movie and pass out candy to any trick-or-treaters that might stop by. Next Friday night is our big Halloween dance party!

I love getting dressed in autumn. I'm so inspired by this season. I've been wearing a lot of patterned skirts and dresses, with brown/black tights, chunky cardigans, a statement necklace + this floppy hat. I'm obsessed with this hat. When we took pictures, it was so windy (if you couldn't tell by my crazy hair) and it kept flying off and Eric would have to go chase it. Haha! I'm trying to plan ahead for winter style, which is always the hardest time to run a blog. Usually I'm whipping off my coat to take pictures in the freezing cold of winter. I think this year I'm going to invest in a couple more jackets to style and try to experiment with some indoor photography? I'm going to work to keep this autumn work ethic up through the winter. We'll see how that goes. ;)
