Logan Street
We are really lucky to live in such a beautiful neighborhood surrounded by brick roads. Our neighborhood is called Heritage Hill and it's one of the largest urban historic districts in the United States. The neighborhood has 1,300 homes that date from 1843! I should do a full post on Heritage Hill sometime and show you some of my favorite houses. It's so fun to just drive around and look at all of them. A lot of them are turned into apartments, where a lot of college students live. The house we live in is an official historic Heritage Hill home that is turned into two apartments. I truly love the beauty of the house we live in. It's always been a dream of mine to buy a historic home someday.
I've been bundling up like crazy in my new Free People coat! I absolutely love it. Unfortunately, I think it's maybe a size or two too big. I ordered another size, it got here and I was swimming in it. So, I sent it back for two sizes down and I still think it's slightly too big! It's more of an oversized fit, but I look a bit boxy in it. So if you end up ordering it, be sure to size down. Or at least check out the measurements carefully. They also have other really cute coats available right now too! Can you guys believe we saw snow flurries today for 5 minutes? Ugh. I'm not ready for that yet!
I felt a little "witchy" wearing this outfit actually. I used to wear black constantly and sort of gravitated away from it when I started fashion blogging. But black is most likely my favorite color to wear. If Eric and I ever go out for a date night, or we go dancing or whatever - black dress, black flats. Always! I just got this victorian-print skirt from Onze Boutique and I think it's my new favorite skirt! I absolutely love it, and the waist is stretchy so it's the most comfortable thing ever to wear.
Eric and I were snapping pictures quick in the middle of street and I totally felt like I was back in school playing hockey or whatever in the street. One of us would yell "CAR!" and we'd have to run to the curb quickly to let a car pass. Haha! He got me in action below. Oh! And I especially love when people drive past going 5 MPH staring at you wondering what you're up to. It's like… c'monnnnnnnn, really?! ;)
