The pumpkin patch

Last weekend, Eric and I headed out to a local pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins for the season! We checked out a new place this time and I'm so glad we did. It was really cute! I've never actually been to a pumpkin patch before either. I usually get them at a grocery store, or a local farmer's market. This was way more fun! If you're local, it's called Heidi's Farm Stand in Lowell, Michigan. There is also a corn maze, hay rides, cider, donuts, you name it. Can autumn be any more perfect?

Well it's officially tights season! It's cooled down so much here in Michigan. I've been bundling up  and bringing out all of my favorite autumn colors. This outfit came together so easily! I got this amazing knit scarf from Peony Knits. You can receive 10% off your order with code SAVE10! I'm styling their infinity loop scarf in orange and have been wearing it constantly lately.

Aren't these little pumpkin earrings so cute? I usually style up the quirkiest jewelry from Onetenzeroseven. An ice-cream necklace at an ice-cream parlor. Guitar earrings at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. And now pumpkin earrings at the pumpkin patch. You all know this already, but I just love matching my outfits to the scenery. It makes getting dressed so much more fun. ;)

What are some of your favorite autumn traditions? I typically have the same "bucket list" every year. Pick a pumpkin, ride a hayride, explore a corn maze, watch a scary movie, drink hot cider, a pumpkin spice latte, bake pumpkin seeds, pick out a costume for Halloween. I started making goals for November and decided that next month will be my "homebody" month. I'm not going to travel or do anything crazy plans-wise. My biggest goals are to catch up on cleaning/organizing, budgeting, paying off some bills, and getting caught up on everything before the chaos of the Christmas season kicks in.

I just received these boots from DUO Boots! I know a few of you were asking about them on Instagram. They're so comfortable. They have a slight snakeskin print that I wasn't quite so sure about... but it's really subtle in person, which I like. They are a bit wide though and make my feet look a little bit bigger when wearing them, but they are just so cute and comfortable that I don't really mind. And I think this brown color is perfect for the season. Alright, I'll see you guys tomorrow for a post at a weird farm!
