Past winter favorites
With winter solstice only two weeks away, I thought it'd be fun to pull a few of my past favorite winter outfits to inspire me for a new season! I really do love this time of year. It's the perfect excuse to hibernate a little bit, cozy up on the sofa, catch up on movies, cook yummy meals at home, and spend extra time with friends and family. Winter is just my hardest time to find inspiration for style. Maybe it's because it's the season that lasts the longest in Michigan and it takes extra effort to constantly come up with something new? Maybe it's because it's just too cold to consider anything other than a huge sweater and winter coat? Like I mentioned in my last post though, I want to step it up a bit this year and take on the winter challenge and feel proud of my style and improve it as much as I can.
One common theme is definitely red. I know a lot of my readers have said before that red is my color, so I'm going to make sure I try and incorporate more red items into my wardrobe this winter. Other things I tend to love in these colder months: plaid, shades of blue, military green, lace up boots, chunky and patterned scarves, brimmed hats, warm leggings, and warm but stylish winter coats. I'm going to keep these things in mind (things I've loved in the past for this season) and try to build a more curated wardrobe this year. And maybe try to find a new winter style I love. So, here's to a stylish winter! I've linked to some of my favorite winter styles below, if you're looking for anything similar I'm wearing here!
