LATELY
So I thought it'd be fun to start a new series on the blog of 'a few of my favorite things lately'. I have a bunch of new favorite items that I wanted to share that don't necessarily fit into my everyday style posts. Plus, I want to continue to find fun, new ways to incorporate what I'm excited about into my blog. That might include my latest hobbies or interests, or upcoming travels and packing lists, new music or movies or shows, or whatever I'm currently into. I don't have a set time I want to do these posts, just whenever I have a list of fun things to share. I hope you enjoy!
THIMBLEPRESS
I recently learned about Thimblepress, and fell in love with their products! Being a graphic designer, I'm a sucker for anything letterpressed and beautifully designed.
They have a fun, fresh perspective on color and bold shapes in everything they create. I love that they are also an art studio, a woodworking studio, a sewing studio, or whatever creative venture they feel like embarking on next.
A few of my favorite cards are featured here from their Hello Collection card bundle, and I also love using their All In A Week's Work Calendar for a quick snapshot of our schedule on the fridge. Super cute items!
NEW SHOES
I recently saw these clogs from Free People on Pinterest, and fell in love! I instantly pinned them to my wishlist board, and recently decided to splurge on them after receiving our tax refund recently.
They are perfect! Not only beautifully crafted with Spanish leathers, they are comfortable and very easy to walk in. That's a huge bonus considering I'm typically a flats girl.
I know these are going to give my outfits a bit of a eclectic boho feel this spring/summer.
FERN IPHONE CASE
When I upgraded my iPhone to the 6s this past winter, I immediately went online to purchase this Fern Gully iPhone Case from Moorea Seal.
I was eyeballing their floral and autumn leaf cases, but this one felt like it would transition perfectly between all four seasons. And it goes with all of my outfits! It has real, dried flowers, and I love the clear case to let the rose gold of my iPhone show through.
Fern is a good luck symbol too! When carried or worn, fern has the power to guide its bearer to discover treasures, and the person who breaks the first fern frond of spring will have good luck!
CAMP DIRECTOR TOTE
I also was overdue this spring for a new laptop bag, as my old one was completely falling apart. Say hello to my new Camp Director Tote from ModCloth!
It's the perfect size to fit my 15" Macbook Pro, and it also has enough room to fit a laptop sleeve inside for extra protection. I can also fit in notepads, papers, mail or whatever else I need to carry for work.
I love having the option of two small straps, or the long crossbody strap for carrying! The black and white diamond pattern goes with everything, plus I always love a mix of black and brown!
LOVE ON NETFLIX
I kept seeing Love pop up on my Instagram feed, and I decided to check out the first episode. I was immediately hooked and blew right through the first season in a week! I would absolutely recommend checking it out on Netflix.
It follows two people, Gus and Mickey, on their journey through modern relationships with all of its humiliations and thrills. Being on opposite ends of the spectrum, Gus is a super nice geeky guy, and Mickey is a moody addict. I'm usually a huge fan of romantic comedies, but I love the unromantic, more 'real' view on love portrayed in this show. Plus it's just funny, even in the awkward, cringing moments. I'd recommend it, for sure!
