Shopping in Traverse City
During our trip to Traverse City, we tried to squeeze as much in as we could! We wanted to make sure we hit up a bunch of unique stores for a fun guest post on the Traverse City blog on holiday shopping, so be sure to head there and check that out! I chatted a little bit about each of my favorite places, so if you're looking to do a little shopping in that area, I've got you covered. We explored a bunch of places I've never visited before, and tried some new restaurants to us too. It was a perfect day spent up north. I just love Traverse City!
For brunch, we decided to check out Patisserie Amie. So good! Eric and I both started out with a crème brûlée latte. I tried the Asperges crêpe…which was ham, cheese, with béchamel. Eric tried the Omelette Sardalaise with duck fat potatoes, sausage and spinach. We also shared an order of the “critters” (frittered and deep fried croissants). Everything was absolutely delicious, melt-in-your-mouth worthy! I can't wait to go back and try something else.
After brunch, we headed over to the Mercato at The Village at Grand Traverse Commons. It’s a wonderful, one-of-a-kind, indoor shopping destination, located at the historic former Traverse City State Hospital. We spent the morning browsing through each of the shops, but be sure to check out the Traverse City blog for a complete list of our favorite shops.
After our time at the Mercato, we headed over to (the very recommended) Warehouse MRKT. So many people mentioned to me that I would love this spot…and they were right on! I’m obsessed with this little corner in Downtown Traverse City. It’s newly renovated and offers indoor shopping in a refreshing atmosphere. Super cute.
I found this adorable black corduroy skirt from a boutique in Nashville while we were visiting. I really love button up skirts right now! I have one in black, burnt orange, and blush pink. On the way to TC, I made Eric stop so I could pick up new nylons because the more sheer look paired better with this black skirt than my normal black-out tights I wear. Thankfully the weather was pretty decent (except for a little rain) so I could pull off the sheer tights! I did end up changing into jeans and a flannel for our afternoon of wine tasting and lighthouse visiting, so I'll be back on the blog with that look!
