Blooming yellow
Hello friends! Halfway through the week! I can't believe Wednesday is already almost over. This week absolutely flew. We're finally seeing spring temperatures, and I'm so happy about it. This past weekend was beautiful! We got out to enjoy it a little bit, took Winny to the dog park, and met up with a few friends to drink beers on an outdoor patio. I'm so ready for consistent warmth and sunshine, but I won't lie... I'm loving these warm thunderstorms we've been getting. Plus, all of a sudden, overnight (seriously), everything bloomed. We have a small tree in our backyard that whenever that blooms... to me, spring is officially here. It's in bloom! And can we just celebrate the first outfit post of the year with bare legs? YAY!
I finally finished The Curated Closet, and I feel 1000x smarter about my personal style, closet, and shopping techniques. I honestly couldn't recommend that book enough. "Overhaul my closet" was on my 30 before 31 goal list, and I haven't completely checked it off yet, because I have a heap full of stuff to either keep or get rid of, and a few more things to get organized (scarves, and random accessories mostly) but I'm so close! My goal is to completely finish that entire project by the end of April. But I have to tell you. Having a curated wardrobe, a very organized and stylish loungewear capsule, and a mini capsule for my work clothes... has been so helpful in getting ready and choosing outfits. I finally feel like I have stuff to wear again, even though I have about 150 items less than before. Crazy, right?
Are you guys doing anything special for Easter? We decided to host Eric's family this year to help take off some of the stress from his parents, and honestly, I'm so excited! Eric and I have the menu planned for the day, and he even promised to help scrub the apartment with me. Yay! Perfect excuse for a lil' spring cleaning, and some family fun, which was one of my goals this month. Other than Easter, we're headed off to Muskegon to celebrate my Dad's birthday, to visit with my Mom at her gift shop, and Eric is playing a show on Saturday night. Lots of fun plans coming up. I love this time of year. It all begins!
