Neighborhood blooms

Happy Monday! Did you guys have a good weekend? We sure did! The weather here has been absolutely beautiful, and everything is almost in full bloom. It's SO pretty outside. I seriously "ooh" and "ahh" over every flowering tree. I just love transitional seasons! Those pesky April showers really did pay off. This past weekend, we kept it pretty low-key, spent time with friends, went grocery shopping, took my Dad out to lunch for his birthday, visited my Mom, and hosted Eric's family for Easter. It was mildly successful, except I almost sent the smoke alarms off with burning ham and swiss sliders... so let's just say those didn't turn out. For a person who wants everything to be "perfect" always, laughing and wafting out the smoke with his family will always be a favorite memory. That's even better than being "perfect"!

So now we're back to the daily grind! Not much is new really... we've just been binge-watching New Girl (Eric is finally getting caught up), eating Easter leftovers (too much candy), doing a little spring cleaning on the apartment, and getting rid of "stuff". I have a few things left to organize in our apartment, but my closet is done, and I just got rid of a ton of stuff from my office. I still have to purge our guest room of some leftover closet items (hoping to have another IG sale soon!) and just need to organize two big cabinets, and then I'm DONE. Everything will be organized, except for our basement, but I'm sort of waiting until we move someday to tackle that project. YAY!

I also finally splurged on a Groupon for a full interior/exterior detail on my car, so I'm seriously excited to schedule that and have that done too. I LOVE CLEAN EVERYTHING! Okay, my crazy Monica side is coming out now, so let's stop there. But yeah, the next couple of weeks look pretty chill, but exciting, because spring is HERE! I am thisclose to being out of credit card debt (like really really close) and then we're going to move on to save save save mode for the big dreams – first up, house! So many dreams and plans. My thirties are already feeling really good. I'm working through all of my shit from my twenties, finally paying off my debts, saving money, washing my face, changing my contacts on time, flossing my teeth everyday, and scheduling eyebrow appointments on time. Go, 30 me!
