Secret garden
Happy Wednesday! Phew, it's been a busy last couple of days. Jumping back to the weekend though, I hosted an event at Madewell in Ann Arbor! I always love visiting that city. Delicious food, fun places to visit, good shopping. The event went great! They served up chocolate covered pretzels and champagne. There was a 20% discount, and I did a little bit of damage to my checking account. Totally worth it! Autumn is my favorite time to shop. I'm always so inspired in this season. But this outfit is perfect for these final days of summer, and I can't wait to switch up this exact outfit with some ankle boots and a cardigan in the next couple of months.
I picked up this top from Madewell, this floral sleeved dress, this cross-back sweater in mauve, these petaldrop earrings (my new fave!), and this adorable denim skirt. I can't wait to wear everything on the blog soon! Madewell is always one of my favorite places to shop. I wish we had one here in Grand Rapids, because as much as I love their online website, everything is so much better in person. I love trying everything on, but it also makes it that much harder to stick to budget. I wanted to take home SO much more... including one of their mini transport totes! So cute!
I wore this outfit out to brunch with the girls! One of our favorite cocktail places in Grand Rapids (Gray Skies Distillery) opened up for Sunday brunch, and had What The Truck (delicious food truck) outside serving up brunch. So yummy! After brunch, Eric and I went grocery shopping, and had friends over to play Monopoly and watch the season finale of Game of Thrones. I love weekends that are as much fun as they are productive. I know that's not always possible, but this was a good weekend of getting things done... and enjoying myself in the process! I'm excited for the upcoming Labor Day weekend, enjoying the unofficial last weekend of summer, and moving into FULL autumn mode next week. Bring on all the pumpkin and apple everything!
