Pond Hill Farm

A couple of weekends ago, Eric and I headed up to the great northwest of Michigan to explore the very autumnal Tunnel of Trees! We’ve been up there before (the weekend we got engaged four years ago!) so it was really fun to go back since it’s been a little while. We’ve been to Pond Hill Farm before, but I was excited to visit again, do a little wine and beer tasting, and explore their adorable pumpkin patch! This was definitely one of my favorite places to visit during our trip… so if you’re ever exploring this area, be sure to stop and visit anytime of year!

So this outfit is an exact replica of this outfit… except I switched out the cardigan! It’s the same one though, just a different color. I wish Express still made these, because a lot of people have asked me where they can shop it. I bought it in three colors when they were for sale three years ago! I have the burnt orange, this olive green and a neutral creamy color. A cozy knit cardigan is definitely a staple in my fall wardrobe! The weather up there was pretty chilly… like high 40’s, down to the low 30’s at night, so I definitely layered up a bit and wore my winter jacket in the evenings. Fall is coming and going so fast… before we know it, winter will be here! 😩

When we got to Pond Hill Farm, we headed inside to do a little wine and beer tasting! They have a bar in their café where you can stand and place an order for mini flights. Super fun! I can only imagine how crazy busy this place gets on the weekend though. We went on a Friday afternoon, so it wasn’t too bad. There are so many other fun activities on the weekends though — like pumpkin bowling, hayrides, etc. I’d love to go back on a Saturday sometime! But we loved exploring the grounds and taking in the autumn colors. It was just so pretty up there.

For a quick little update… we’re doing okay! We got some good news that reassures us that we’ll be home soon, so I’m crossing my fingers there! I’m just excited to get back into my normal routine. We’ve been staying at Eric’s parent’s house (which is a huge blessing), but I haven’t been able to cook my normal meals, head to FLEX, do all the normal things you just take for granted everyday. But I’m so grateful we didn’t lose anything in the fire, we had renter’s insurance which covered all of the water/smoke damage, and they are extensively cleaning and getting our apartment back to normal. I have Eric and I have Winny and as soon as I’m home, I’ll have my pumpkin candles, cozy blanket, and a huge pot of chili simmering on the stove. I can’t wait!
