Legs Inn

On my Michigan bucket list of places to visit… I finally got to visit Legs Inn! This place has been on my travel list for so long. I grew up eating Polish food that my grandma would make, and I don’t get to eat it too often anymore, so I was really excited to visit this historic landmark! It’s located right in Cross Village, pretty much at the end of your journey down the Tunnel of Trees. We stopped along the way to snap some photos of the pretty autumn colors, and made our way toward deliciousness. During autumn, it’s SO busy, so we waited almost 2 hours… but it was well worth it!

During our wait, we headed across the street to check out the gift shop and then made our way back to the restaurant to grab drinks at the bar. They had a SWEET RED wine, which just made my whole night. My absolute favorite wine everrrrr. So we just sat together and enjoyed our drinks before we were seated! I loved the interior of Legs Inn. It’s so eclectic and rustic. Perfect place to visit in autumn. The building itself is constructed of locally gathered timber and stones. Smolak (a Polish immigrant) was a self-trained artist, who used tree roots, limbs, and driftwood to create “fantastical creatures into the furniture and decorative objects into the inn”. Definitely worth a visit if you’re traveling to Tunnel of Trees!

Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week?! I’m holding onto autumn… but as soon as Thanksgiving is done, that’s my “go ahead” go to holiday nuts. We typically cut down our tree that weekend, decorate our apartment, bust out all of the pinecone-scented candles (currently burning this pumpkin pinecone candle, and it’s heaven) and to watch every single cheesy Christmas movie on Netflix. I’m so excited for the holidays this year… they’re just coming at the absolute best time because we need a good excuse to make our apartment cozy AF after the fire. But until then… enjoying this season right to the end!
