M119 Scenic Route
So, even though we’ve already had our first snowfall here in Michigan… I’m sitting on a boatload of content, so it’s going to be autumn here through November (which is how it should be anyway!) I’m trying to catch up, but other things have just taken priority lately. Work has been super busy, I’m trying to get back into my FLEX routine, we’ve been working to make our apartment as cozy as possible after the fire, and I’m starting to cook again, fill our fridge, and get back on track with everything in life! But let’s back up to our trip to Tunnel of Trees, which was my favorite autumn weekend. We took a long drive along M119, which is so beautiful and scenic.
After we visited Pond Hill Farm, we continued to make the drive up to Good Hart, which is one of my favorite little places to stop. There’s only a few buildings, but we always stop to the General Store to pick up goodies. This year, it was a homemade chicken pot pie we took home that was delicious! We also always stop to Primitive Images to look at their super cute home decor, and to get coffees, chai or ciders. This year, I got a chai cider! Super yummy! After exploring for a bit, we headed back to our hotel to relax for a bit before heading out to dinner. I just love this drive… it’s so pretty and winding, and it’s right along Lake Michigan.
This teddy coat from Free People was definitely a favorite last year… and definitely a favorite this year! It’s honestly just the coziest jacket ever. Especially when it’s chilly outside! It’s just SO warm. Not exactly weatherproof, but thankfully it didn’t rain this weekend… it was just gloomy (which makes for pretty photos). But yeah, I love it. And I’ve gotten a lot of questions about these jeans… wondering if wide-leg would work for them. I’m 5’3 and these are the perfect length. They are definitely my “man-repeller” jeans though, as Eric hates them. He calls them my “big pants”. 😂 But I loveeeee them.
