Grand Hotel Gardens

After biking it around the island and kayaking out to the lighthouse, I was excited for some relaxing at the Grand Hotel! Eric and I changed for dinner, and walked over to the historic hotel to tour the lobby and gardens and grab a drink in their upstairs cocktail lounge. It was so pretty. It's on my wishlist to stay here someday. I'm glad I finally got the chance to visit though, take a peek around, marvel at the insanely beautiful gardens, drool over their outdoor pool, and grab a fancy cocktail (ahem, most expensive cocktail I've ever had). Hahaha. It was definitely a fun experience while staying on Mackinac Island! I'd say the $10 tour is worth it alone for the gardens.

A classic floral dress + denim jacket is definitely one of my favorite go-to outfits in the summer. I found these adorable pink tassel earrings in the Artist Market of Mackinac Island. I snatched them up immediately! I love the fun vibe they add to this outfit, plus it's always great to support local artists. Strolling through the gift shops was so fun... I got a few things from a cute Michigan print to these earrings and a fun new floral pouch for traveling. I love picking up new things from places we travel. That way there is a special memory associated with it!

After we explored the gardens, snapped some pictures, and grabbed a drink upstairs, we headed off to spend our evening on Main Street! We stopped to Goodfellow's, which was my favorite place to have a drink on the island. They actually had a sweet red! I feel like no one carries a sweet red, so I was really excited. (It's my favorite!) I might have had a few glasses... haha! After that, we went to Seabiscuit Cafe for a late dinner, which was delicious. I'd definitely recommend it for dinner and drinks! After dinner, of course, we got more ice-cream, which is a necessity while on Mackinac Island. Let's just say, I need to do some major damage control on my diet.  But it's worth it to me! It's all about balance.

Well that concludes my Mackinac Island posts! I hope you guys enjoyed! We had such a great long weekend there, and I'm so excited we got to explore some new places this time! Next up... we're staying in a lighthouse (which I'm so excited to share about soon). I've never actually stayed in a lighthouse before, so I'm really thrilled, and it's one that's near and dear to my heart. I also have another fun weekend in Traverse City coming up... this time with my girlfriends! Excited to go wine tasting + spend time with my favorite ladies. Summer is going by quickly, but I'm trying to make the most of every moment!
