Coastal paradise
Hello again! We’re back from our trip to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida! We had a great time, and I really loved getting the chance to explore and experience a new town. Especially one I had never even heard of a few months ago! Our friends (and Eric’s bandmates) invited us on their annual vacation over spring break, so we happily obliged! It’s very rare I ever take a week off, especially during Michigan’s crummy weather, so it was a really nice escape. I usually spend all of my vacation days as long weekends in the summer, so it was fun to try something new! I’ll be back with a few more posts from Florida, so stay tuned!
We drove all the way from Michigan to Nashville, spent a super quick night in Music City, before making our next trek down to Florida. We got to our Airbnb, and it was super cute. I loved our room, with views of the pool and palm trees! We unpacked and got settled, before walking down to the little main part of Santa Rosa Beach. We ended up getting dinner at The Perfect Pig, which was delicious! I got a burger, and Eric got the parmesan crusted grouper. After dinner, we walked back to our condo, and hung out for a bit before crashing in bed after a long day of travel!
For this trip, I pretty much brought every wide leg pair of pants I own. Haha! So my style was pretty consistently those, along with striped button up tops that I could tie in the front. The weather was soooo humid though, and literally the second I would walk out the door, my curls would immediately turn to straight FRIZZ. It was insane! There was nothing I could do to stop it, haha. My bangs were especially bad. If I lived in Florida, there would be no way I could ever have bangs! But hair aside and one day of rainy weather, we got super lucky with sunshine, pool and beach time, and lots of delicious food and quality time with some amazing people. I’ll be back with more from our trip!
