Brunch in Santa Rosa Beach
Hello… from Florida still! Well, I’m back in Michigan of course, but I have a few more posts coming at ya from our vacation to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida! We had such a great time on our trip! On this particular day, we woke up, and headed over to the main area for brunch at The Perfect Pig, which was one of our favorite restaurants on this trip! So good. Eric and I both had their endless mimosa bar and I ordered the benedict and Eric got a skillet. Everything everyone else got looked delicious too. I’m starting to forget all the details of our trip — so I need to make sure I blog everything before I forget! But I’m pretty sure after brunch, we headed back to our cottage to change, and hit up the pool and beach for the day. Any sunny day we had, we tried to take advantage of being around water!
Our trip mostly consisted of lots of friend time, hanging by the pool, walking down to the beach, checking out the local restaurants, ice-cream, many trips to the grocery store for wine, making breakfast at the house, just taking it easy! We didn’t do anything super extravagant! I like a simple vacation — I want to explore the towns, do a little shopping, try some different restaurants, and otherwise take it easy and relax! It was nice to throw out the plans and lists and chores and obligations for a week. I got halfway through a book — whaa! — and even got a tiny bit of color through my 50 SPF. 😉
Most of the days were low 70s — but it felt warm enough to hop into a bathing suit and relax by the pool and dive into the ocean! But it was also cool enough to be able to wear jeans most days, with a cute top that I tied in the front, and some easy flats. I way overpacked for this trip and only wore half of what I brought. I even made a little capsule wardrobe in my Cladwell app too, and it said I had 87 outfit combinations or something crazy. I never learn. 😂 I’ll be back with… three more posts from Florida! And then I’ll start to move onto some spring content here in Michigan, and some before/afters of our apartment progress! (I don’t think I’ve mentioned it here on the blog yet, but we’re repainting and redecorating almost every corner of our apartment right now and I’m obsessed. I can’t wait until it’s done.
